Description: This lecture illustrates the structural use of aluminium extrusions for the replacement of damaged concrete bridge decks as realized in a case in Sweden; it describes the technical and economic advantages of the chosen light-weight aluminium design. Basic knowledge of structural engineering and extrusion design; and some familiarity with TALAT lectures no. 1302, 1501, 2200, 2300 and 2400 is assumed.
