Resource type: Interactive Resource
Description: This interactive animation schematically presents the effect processing parameters have on the aering profile. It shows comparison between effect of the coiling temperature (i.e. after hot rolling) and cold rolling deformation on the earing profile of EN AW-3004 strip. One can see how a cube texture (0-90° ears) in a 315° C hot strip (0% deformation) changes to a rolling texture (45° ears) by systematic variation of only three Fourier coefficients.
Keywords: testing • processing • earing • swift cup test • texture • Fourier coefficients
