Description: This interactive animation is a virtual experiment, which shows effect of recrystallisation process on hardness. The samples of three different cold-rolled aluminium alloys are first prepared, then annealed isothermally for 30 minutes and quenched with cold water. The resulting micrographs are then examined, and Vickers hardness measurements are performed.
