Resource type: Equation
Description: The Coffin-Manson relation is a low-cycle fatigue strain classification relating fatigue strain size to the number of cycles before failure.

TeX format: {\Delta \varepsilon_{p}\over2} = {\varepsilon^{'}_f(2N)^c}

Δεp/2 {\Delta\varepsilon_p\over{2}} = Plastic strain amplitude
εƒ' {\varepsilon^{'}_f} = Fatigue ductility coefficient
2N {2N} = Number of reversals to failure
c {c} = Fatigue ductility exponent - empirical constant
