Description: Plastic enclosures can incorporate carefully designed ribs, webs and flanges on the hidden, inner sides to hold working components securely in place when in operation. This photo shows video cassette enclosure in polystyrene (PS), separated to show internal working mechanism and supporting ribs. The spools are in transparent PS, the case parts in carbon black filled PS. The tape itself is PET loaded with soft magnetic particles.
