Description: This image shows particulate analyzer, or gas chromatograph, the instrument, where extremely small particles found in diesel exhaust are captured, sorted and counted. This state-of-the-art equipment is used at PNNL in order to develop methods to effectively capture respirable particles from diesel engines and avoid release to the environment.
